Since 1981, The Endoscopy Centre provides an open access Endoscopy service for the medical practitioners in Madras, Tamilnadu and neighbouring states. State of the art, high resolution, electronic, video endoscopy systems are used. More than 53000 procedures have been performed at the Centre. Routine diagnostic procedures include, flexible video upper GI endoscopies, colonoscopies, and bronchoscopies. Therapeutic procedures like colon polypectomies, balloon dilatations, bleed control, and stent placements are done routinely. Routine Colon Cancer screening is performed. Endoscopic procedures can be done under sedation. HELIPROBE - H.pylori breath testing is also done. Concessional and free services to poor patients are provided.
